In the fall of 2021 Missio Dei Church in Asheville merged with Bent Creek Baptist, a church with a history that spans over a century. 
The challenge was to create a name that would represent the set values of each congregation but also reflect their message to Asheville, described as "a blue dot in a red sea" that make up the surrounding counties.
