For this approach to a series in Philippians we noted the author Paul gives clear, direct instruction on how we are to live our lives in obedience to  God's love and authority. 

The word "obey" leaves a bitter taste on our tongue. We certainly do not associate it with love. And yet, Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” (John 14:15). 

Love is what all humans were designed for, and our call as Jesus followers is to advance the gospel of love and build God’s kingdom of love with all we are. It’s worth living for and dying for. We obey self, trends, pride, and addictions. We wanted to frame this series with a rebellious feel to call people to turn from those and instead OBEY LOVE.
